Buying or renting a property is a major financial commitment that requires a significant investment of time, energy and resources if all available and potentially available properties are to be located and carefully considered. This is particularly true for those who are moving from another part of the country. Those who live and/or work away from their chosen search area are at a considerable disadvantage. Potential purchasers often discover that suitable properties become available and ‘under offer’ before they’ve viewed or are even aware of the property. We have also, personally, experienced the disappointment and frustration of searching for properties outside our immediate locality and this resulted in the conception of Devon Dreams Home Finders.

The Search Process

Following your initial contact with us, and should you choose to use our expertise, the process will proceed as follows;

1) Your Requirement Meeting
We will arrange, at your earliest convenience, a comprehensive meeting (either in person or via telephone) to fully establish your property needs.

2) Comprehensive Property Search
We will conduct a comprehensive property search on your behalf. This will involve continuous monitoring of the market for suitable properties, including those marketed ‘quietly’. We will also approach owners of potentially suitable properties, not on the market, to determine their willingness to sell. As soon as we discover a suitable property, we will immediately send available details to you for your consideration.   

3) Property/Area Viewings
Having carefully reviewed the details of the properties we’ve sent to you, we will then conduct a preliminary viewing of those properties that warrant further consideration. We will prepare reports on these properties for you, including our independent assessment of the properties and their location.

4)  Property Viewing/Area Familiarisation
For those properties that are deemed worthy of serious consideration, we will organise viewings of these properties for your earliest convenience. Whether we accompany you on these viewings is entirely your decision.

5) Property Negotiation
If we discover your dream property during the search process, and should you choose to use our negotiation service, we will negotiate with the vendor/agent to achieve the possible purchase price for you. Remember that should you choose to negotiate your own purchase price that we can still help to organise surveys, building work quotes, etc. for you.

6) Completion
We will assist you in every way possible through the negotiation and, hopefully, completion process. We also provide a free Post Completion Service for all our clients to help you settle into your new home and area. No matter how large or small your enquiry/problem, we will endeavour to help you, so please feel free to call us anytime.

Please remember that we only ever act in a professional and discrete manner. We never disclose details of our clients unless you instruct us to do so.
